Please be advised that the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is about to carry out bridge inspection and repair works on Wallaby Creek Bridge on Shiptons Flat Road. Works to install a heating system at the popular Cooktown Swimming Pool are now complete, and community members, hydrotherapy patients, swimming, and sports enthusiasts are diving right in to enjoy the warmer waters with the swimming pool seeing an increase in visitor numbers since the system was installed.
