2023 AUSTRALIA DAY AWARDS
The community is invited to reflect, respect and celebrate this Australia Day at the Cooktown Shire Hall at the Australia Day Awards Ceremony and community morning tea

Join us and special guest, Australia Day Ambassador and Queensland's 2022 Young Australian of the year, Dr Tahnee Bridson as we celebrate what's great about being an Aussie, and recognise some of the amazing citizens, their accomplishments and ongoing contribution towards our community at this year Australia Day Awards Ceremony.
With nominees across six categories, including, Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Sports, Arts and Culture, and the Environment, the awards recognise residents across the shire who, through their personal efforts, have made a significant contribution to our community.
The Awards ceremony will commence at 9am and will be followed by a complimentary morning tea supplied by the Cooktown Country Women's Association.
Free to attend, simply arrive by 9am to enjoy the celebrations.
