Works Notice | Cameron Creek Road

We are pleased to inform the community that the upgrade works to Cameron Creek Road will commence ahead of schedule with stage one of the works now scheduled to commence from Monday 12 August 2024.

To optimise favourable weather conditions and minimise disruptions to the community, the project will be delivered in two stages:

Commencing from Monday 12 August 2024, Stage 1 of works include drainage upgrades and installation of culverts and causeways at key locations.

Stage 2 will commence in the 2025-26 financial year and will include installation of pavements and upgrade of the gravel road to a bitumen seal.

Over the duration of the project, project works will include:

• grading the road to improve trafficability for residents and construction activities
• constructing detours around planned major drainage structures
• demolishing and disposing of existing infrastructure that needs to be replaced/upgraded
• constructing and upgrading stormwater drainage systems, including culverts and concrete causeways
• undertaking earthwork activities
• installing road pavement and two-coat bitumen seal surfacing works
• installing road signage

Impacts to the community:

During construction, traffic management and control plans, including diversions and road closures will be in place. Local residents and roads users will be provided access when safe and practical, but are advised to anticipate delays and to please plan travel accordingly.

Heavy construction machinery and plant equipment will be operating in the area. Appropriate controls to minimise noise, dust and vibrations during working hours will be in place.

In the interest of public safety, some areas of the construction site will be limited/restricted.

We would also like to remind the community to be aware of workers in the area, follow staff advice/instructions, pay attention to traffic control measures and signage, and to drive to conditions.

Residents and property owners will be duly informed.
